Microsoft to Challenge Google’s Android

More competition from Android could move forward from phone to Microsoft Windows because the company is focused on capturing more of the smartphone market.

More than 40 percent of smartphone owners, and those who want to buy it considering the purchase of a Windows Mobile 7, according to a report by Connected Intelligence.

However, if the report also shows that 50 percent of consumers plan to buy a smartphone in the next six months say they are not interested in Windows Mobile, because they “do not know enough about the subject.”

The number of people interested in a phone displays the Microsoft Windows can be enough to compete with Google Android, but the company needs to spread the word. Android is in the best position in the mobile market right now, says the report, but Microsoft, the company is about to experience the strongest growth ahead.

However, despite analysts’ predictions about the future, the competition in the main Android smartphone market has come to the iPhone. The iPhone 3G and 4 are the most mobile phones sold in the U.S., but Android has held an advantage over IOS in market share because it is offered on a wide range of devices in many different price ranges. Android currently holds 43 percent of the smartphone market, while IOS tracks with 18 percent.

Microsoft trails Android and Apple by far, is currently only two percent of the smartphone market, but the partnership with Nokia can help the company to be found in the foreign market. Meanwhile, the United States, high-profile manufacturers such as HTC and Samsung show Support for the Windows platform by offering phone devices on AT & T.

Manufacturers can now support Windows Mobile to grow even more by the pending purchase by Google of Motorola. Can lead to the acquisition of 12.5 billion Android mobile phone manufacturers like LG, HTC and Samsung phones for Microsoft to develop fear that Google, once a partner with Android software, will become a rival of the material.
