Federal Trade Commission’s Google antitrust probe includes Android as well

The FTC is currently the procedures and guidelines of Google for antitrust issues. The probe covers mainly the research and the privacy practices, but recently we have learned that even Android for any reason.

While the mobile industry almost as a competitive advantage right now, Android From Zero To Hero is increased, looks almost fifty percent of the smartphone market worldwide in just three years to the FTC, as power use Google the pressure on the app developers and equipment manufacturers to enforce its will.

Compared to other mobile operating system Android is pretty open, free and popular, plus there are a number of cell phones, use the basic services, without Google Android on it – no Android Market, no maps, no Gmail, and so on. In addition, companies have often install there own software, like Sprint with their packs of identity, with Verizon Bing, and the manufacturers have their own skin as interface Sense.

The FTC is obviously not satisfied, and investigations by third parties, if Google is flexing the muscles when it comes to its core services with something alien, to replace the ecosystem launched. One example was the action of Skyhook, which raises El Goog by exerting pressure on manufacturers to leave their position technology into their devices, and keep it filed the services of Google. “Baseless” was the only comment on the accusation of Mountain View, but it sure seems like Android is under pressure on many fronts at the moment – there is a concerted action, or simply that success attracts the limelight, remains to be seen.

Won as far as we know, the U.S. Justice Department launched a probe whether the offer Nortel patent by Apple, Microsoft, RIM, Sony and many others, became aware of predatory competitors for patents to be used against the rule of Android. Google does not sit too – he bought over a thousand patents to IBM, spent a record $ 2,060,000 for lobbying in Q2 2011 and is hiring more than 12 K Street firms to protect its interests with Uncle Sam.
