California has had to save new arrangements for shippers of “vampire” from the battery for power, force manufacturers to comply with new standards and urged other states to follow suit.
The guidelines on the effectiveness of new and want to set by the California Energy Commission, to fight against 170 millions of “vampire” pricing systems that waste as much as 60 percent of the electricity they suck outlets. The revised regulation requires manufacturers to residents in California to be more efficient chargers to power their cell phones, tablets, power tools, toothbrushes and other devices by 2013.
A recent study in Britain found the overload devices such damage is the long battery life, cost consumers up to $ 100 more per year in wasted electricity per household, and possibly damage to the environment with carbon emissions useless.
The new guidelines are a boon to environmentalists, but the manufacturers are having a difficult decision left: continue “vampire” chargers and chargers only effective for the State of California, or to produce revising their production completely to the new standard to convert.
The move could set a precedent for other states. California officials say, is once fully implemented, the new standards in carbon dioxide emissions by one million tons and reduce the population of more than $ 300 million cost of electricity per year.
But if the manufacturers have to create units, only one or two states to load, consumers will probably wind in these countries pay higher prices for shippers who deny some of the savings reported on their annual electricity bill.
The new standards are a courageous step, and California is the first U.S. state to take such measures to conserve energy.
